MDR-GT Flight Test Data Recorder
Introduction:
The MDR-GT is an ultra-Fast on-board FTI data recorder designed around a common mainframe and flexible chassis. This common mainframe contains built-in processing functions and high-end interfaces as standard. No extra hardware is required for UDP streaming, telemetry broadcasting, and advanced networking; the latter allowing for the communication of multiple XMA stacks to form a distributed data acquisition system.
The flexible chassis is available in a top and front loading format in which two canisters can be installed. A canister can accept up to five signal modules, and is backward compatible with most signal modules of the MDR including Analogue Input Modules, Digital Input & Bus Interface Modules, Video Input Modules, Hybrid Interface Modules, and Storage Modules. Canisters can also be loaded with storage modules of up to 40TB.
